We had a great production meeting at my house yesterday. We did what's called a "design pass" for the movie. We went over sketches of costumes, locations, and special effects that I want to see in the final product. Marcus, my illustrator and my set designer J.R. did a fantastic job of putting together some preliminary sketches and designs for our actors and locations. Sound is going to be an issue in Zilker Botannical Gardens, it's right next to Mopac and it looks like I'm just going to have to count on doing ADR work when everything is said and done. I need to go through Zilker with my DP, and we definitely need to go through Elysium with the actors, Jesse our stunt coordinator and J.R. who needs to measure everything.
